18 May Shadow Wood at The Brooks News May 2015
As the typical Southwest Florida “season” winds down, there are strong signs showing that the “buying season” for Florida real estate is yet to come. According to a Florida Realtors® article published today, entitled Fla. Cities Rank at Top for New-Purchase Loans, “The prime buying season still remains ahead, providing some hope that first-time homebuyers and other traditional buyers relying on traditional financing will come out in greater numbers in the coming months.”
This is certainly good news for the future — but it is what is happening now locally that is keeping Southwest Florida real estate thriving is the steady flow of contracts on on-market homes in our area combined with the flow of available homes. According to Downing-Frye Realty Broker and Naples Area Board of Realtors President Mike Hughes, “the Downing-Frye listing inventory continues to stay strong and we see listings coming on the market almost as fast as we are selling them. There is a lot of activity these days coming from buyers and sellers. According to Hughes, “Over the last two months, Downing-Frye agents have turned in over 1,000 pending sales contracts to our Accounting department. We have a tremendous amount of momentum heading into Summer.”
Good news, indeed, whether you are buying or selling. So, if you are considering selling your Shadow Wood home or know somebody looking, please allow me to share my 30 years of experience putting buyers and sellers together in SWFL.
